Responsibilities

  • To provide independent advice and review on the effectiveness of the internal control for managing the overall risk of MaGIC
  • To establish a mechanism to monitor and report the effectiveness of internal control to the management and board
  • Create, track and maintain internal control master list/record
  • To follow up on audit issue, monitor the status of the management action plan, and facilitate the enhancement/establishment of internal control documents
  • To educate employees of MaGIC to analyse, evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the internal control mechanism
  • Ensure compliance gaps are identified, reported, and on track for closure by compliance or other relevant business units.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance risk per risk register
  • Develop and recommend compliance policy and processes
  • Identify and provide compliance awareness to the employees of MaGIC
  • Create, track and maintain internal communication platform on Compliance related matter
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify and recommend business process improvement where relevant
  • Act as the key point of contact/liaison for compliance and audit-related matter i.e. internal auditor, consultant, Jabatan Audit Negara, Ministries

 

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Risk Management or related areas
  • Professional certificate in Compliance (added advantage)
  • Minimum 8-10 years working experience as compliance/audit/internal control/risk management/governance
  • Process-oriented and have knowledge of the various business function
  • Strong and effective written and communications skills (ability to confidently interact with all level)
  • Meticulous, attentive to details, organize, and able to deliver high-quality work
  • Solid reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Resourceful, independent, able to multitask, and able to drive initiative
  • Demonstrate good work ethics, integrity
  • Cooperative and good interpersonal skills (ability to confidently interact with all level)
